Fire Suppression Ops At Peterson SFB August 30, 2026
August 19, 2026 - Firefighters assigned to the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron conduct fire suppression operations during a full-scale emergency response exercise with mutual aid partners at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. The Peterson SFB Fire Department is the first responder for all aircraft emergencies at the Colorado Springs Airport through a mutual aid agreement. The full-scale emergency response exercise evaluated regional mass-casualty response capabilities, fire suppression, search and rescue, incident command, communications and mutual aid integration.
